Our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)

CCA in Pre-Prep

Our Co-Curricular Activities (CCA) programme begins in the Pre-Prep School for children in Reception and Year 1. They take place each afternoon between 3:30pm and 4:20pm Monday to Thursday, on an opt-in basis. Parents may choose a range of activities for their child, many of which are free of charge. The list below gives an idea of the range of activities on offer during each term:

  • Art and Crafts 
  • Science / STEM
  • Music 
  • Drama
  • Additional Sport
  • Swimming Lessons
  • Computing / Robotics 
  • Dance 
  • Additional Language Clubs (French and Mandarin)
  • Cookery

CCA in Prep School

Our school day in the Prep School runs from 9:00am - 3:30pm. A CCA programme is offered from 3.30pm - 4.20pm Monday to Thurday and incorporates a wide range of extras. All children in the Prep work towards the Pelican Pathway incorporating three strands of school life: 

  • Progress, 
  • Partnership, and 
  • Participation. 

The latter focuses on a child’s willingness to try new ventures and their accomplishments in a broad spectrum of activities.

Examples of the wide range of CCA activities that may take place on rotation are: 

  • Swimming
  • Sports Coaching and Competitive Teams, according to our schedule of sports
  • Dance
  • Music
  • Outdoor Education
  • Languages 
  • Drama (provided by our partnership with Pangdemonium Singapore)
  • Computing / Robotics
  • Art
  • Cookery
  • Science

  • Collaboration projects with other Brighton College schools
  • Eco-schools and Young Enterprise
