Join Brighton College
Welcome to Admissions
We understand that choosing a school for your child is possibly one of the most important jobs you will be faced with. When coupled with the information required to make an application and potentially the additional pressure of a move overseas, it can become overwhelming.
Which is where the Brighton College (Singapore) team come in to help. Whether you would like us to send you a prospectus, arrange an online meeting with our Head Master, get some advice on how to arrange an assessment or simply a quick tip on where to get the best cup of tea or chicken rice in Singapore, we would be delighted to provide you with our support.
Steps in our Admissions Process
We aim to make the process of joining Brighton College (Singapore) as smooth as possible and are on hand to guide you every step of the way.
When you are ready, you will need to submit a range of information and documents to complete your child's application and to support their assessment, so please read the information below carefully and, most importantly, do not hesitate to contact us if you need any help or support.
You may also wish to download a copy of our Admissions Handbook, which summarises all the steps below, as well as providing additional useful information.
Step 1 - Make an Enquiry
Get in touch with us! An enquiry is the first stage of the admission process and allows you to ask us any questions you might have about Brighton College, as well as providing us with information about your family and what you are looking for in a school for your child
Step 2 - Arrange a Visit or Book An Online Meeting
Once we have your enquiry, we will be in touch to answer any questions you may have as well as offer a personal online meeting with Paul Wilson, our Head Master.
Paul is always delighted to connect with parents and is perfectly placed to explain who we are, what we do and how we can help your child fulfil their potential and thrive in our small, nurturing school.
Please note, physical tours of the Brighton College (Singapore) will recommence as soon as the COVID-19 measures allow.

Step 4 - The Assessment Process
Our assessment processes have been put in place to ensure that Brighton College (Singapore) is the best school for each child we enrol and that it will be a place where they will be happy and thrive.
When we have your completed application, we will work with you to arrange a suitable time for your child’s assessment. This may be on campus in Singapore or can also be carried out remotely, depending on each family's circumstances.
- Children applying for Pre-Nursery, Nursery and Reception will be invited to join an observation with one of our Early Years specialists. The session will last around 1 hour and will be an enjoyable and fun experience for your little one as they get to explore and experiment in our Pre-Prep classrooms.
- Children applying for Year 1 to Year 6 will be invited to come and spend a little longer with us as they take part in some informal assessments in English, Maths and verbal and non-verbal reasoning. The children will also enjoy a snack with us and spend time in our Prep classrooms.
In addition to the above, the information provided in your application (e.g. school reports and the Pupil Reference Form) will also inform your child's assessment.
Step 5 - Receiving an Offer
Following your child's assessment, our Academic Leadership Team will review your application and families will usually be notified of the outcome within 72 hours.
Successful applicants will be sent an official offer letter.
Written email acceptance of the offer, along with a completed Student Contract and payment of the enrolment fee within 14 calendar days will confirm your child's place.
Should a place in the relevant year level not be currently available, our Admissions Team will support you in joining our waitlist.
Step 6 - Confirming your Acceptance
Once you have formally accepted the place of an offer, completed the Student Contract and paid the enrolment fee, the following information will be required before the first day of school:
- - Copy of your Child’s Immigration Status (i.e. Dependent Pass / Permanent Resident Re-Entry Permit / Immigration Exemption Order).*
- - A completed Health Declaration Form
- - Copy of your Child’s immunisation record**
Our Admissions Team will support you in providing the above to you.
* Please note that at this time, Brighton College (Singapore) is not currently able to offer places to students who require a student pass.
** Foreign-born children aged 12 years old and below, who are applying for the Dependent's Pass (DP) or Long Term Visit Pass (LTVP) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), and the Student's Pass (STP) issued by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA), are required to submit documented proof of vaccination or evidence of immunity to the Health Promotion Board (HPB) for verification. They will have to do so before they proceed with their applications to MOM or ICA for long-term stay in Singapore. Please note that this process can take in excess of one (1) month. Existing pass holders will not be subject to the requirements when renewing their pass or applying for a new pass.
Please note, Brighton College (Singapore) is not currently EduTrust certified, and as such is unable to accept applications from families who will require a student pass for their child (i.e. those children who will not reside in Singapore on a Dependent's Pass or who are not Permanent Residents).
Parents of children who require a Student Pass may contact our Admissions Team to register an interest and we will keep in touch when our EduTrust status is updated.
