Terry has joined Brighton College (Singapore) from Brighton College Abu Dhabi, where she worked for four years as Deputy Head of Year 4. Prior to this, she taught initially in her home country of Zimbabwe for two years and then ventured abroad to teach internationally in independent schools in England, Spain and Abu Dhabi.
With 19 years of teaching experience, Terry has worked across Key Stage 2 and has established herself in various roles, such as Newly Qualified Teacher’s Induction Tutor, Head of Computing, and Subject Lead of Science.
Terry dreamed of becoming a teacher from a young age and so she pursued her vocation by attending Rhodes University in South Africa and graduated with a Bachelor of Primary Education in 2000 (with distinction in teaching practice).
As an educator, Terry believes strongly in prioritising the emotional well-being to foster a life-long love of learning. She is also a strong believer in the ethos of balancing the academic school day with wide-ranging co-curricular activities. With nearly two decades of experiences, she has offered a range of activities including cookery, art, First Lego League robotics club, math boosters, tennis, swimming, hockey, athletics and computing.
