Pooja has enjoyed teaching in different parts of the world including London, Hong Kong, Japan, India and Singapore. She has a Bachelor in Arts (Hons) degree in English, a Diploma in Early Years Education and a ‘Making Learning Visible’ certificate from the Harvard University. Pooja has been teaching for 10 years in the Early Years department as a classroom teacher and recently decided to focus on her passion, Art & Music. Pooja joined Brighton in March 2021 as a Rising 3 classroom teacher and from August led the Art & Music in Pre-prep.

Pooja believes that  young children learn best through playing and that there are ‘100 languages of children’ with which they express themselves. Hence she is committed to creating an engaging environment and giving children an opportunity to express themselves through the language of art and music.

Pooja is married to Sharad and has two lovely children aged 8 and 14. When she is not teaching, she loves spending time with her family, travelling, hiking, singing, painting, baking and cake decorating.
