Nurulhana has been in this profession for close to 14 years and have since developed into a professional and reflective educator. She started her academic career in a local preschool teaching 4 to 5 year old children. After completing her Degree, she had the opportunity to work with EtonHouse international School at Claymore as an Associate Teacher with the Pre-nursery for 6 years. Etonhouse had later open a local Pre-school; E-bridge Mega Preschool where I she had supported in setting up the school environment. She was later appointed to be a classroom teacher for the 4 year old in Etonhouse Robertson Walk for the next 2 years. Thereafter, an opportunity came for her to join Australian International School where she became an Assistant Teacher for 2 years before joining the Infant Care team, where she became a teacher in the Infant Care for the 2months till 18 months babies for 5 years.
She believes love, respect and an active learning process can assists children in constructing their own knowledge and understanding through learning at their own pace, building on their strength and following their interest. She sees children as competent, unique, social being, curious and lifelong learners. She supports and value the diversity that exists in any early childhood setting and recognise the importance of providing an anti-bias approach in any learning experiences in order to positively support children’s growth of identity, self-esteem and critical thinking. Nurulhana also believes that it is important to complement the role of the family in the child’s life by working close together towards building a trusting and transparent partnership.
Nurulhana graduated with a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) from University of Ballarat and enjoys spending time with her family visiting the beach, travelling and eating, especially chocolate and bubble tea.
