Elizabeth McGrath

Elizabeth (Lizzie) has spent the last eight years teaching in international schools in Dubai and Switzerland and taught the English National Curriculum as well as The Royal Academy of Dance ballet syllabus to primary school children. In Switzerland, Lizzie took on the Head of Day School position in addition to her classroom teaching role, allowing her to work amongst a dynamic team in furthering the pastoral care of the students and enhancing parental involvement in education.

In the classroom, Lizzie ensures an inclusive, dynamic and holistic learning environment that helps build children’s confidence and love of learning. Her love of literature and English inspires her teaching and she is always looking for new and exciting ways to inspire and encourage children to read and learn.

Lizzie currently holds a BA (Hons) Ballet Education, a PGCE in Primary Education as a specialist in English and is due to complete a Masters of Arts in Education (Childhood and Youth Studies) in September 2021.

Lizzie also has an interest in marine conservation and in 2020, she volunteered with The Olive Ridley Project in the Maldives. The project involved collecting data to track and help preserve the life of sea turtles. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling, snorkelling, dancing, walking, exploring new places and learning about different cultures.
