From a young age, Jessica knew she wanted to be a teacher. She grew up with an inherent need to help others and the local community and always sought out opportunities to do so.
After earning a degree in Primary Education from York St. John University, she embarked on a teaching career that took her to Bahrain then on to Singapore. While in Bahrain, she played a crucial role in developing the Junior Drama department, as well as taking over the role of Humanities Curriculum Leader with the aim to internationalise the curriculum.
Appointed as the Humanities curriculum leader, Jessica crafted engaging topics that challenged her students to think critically and learn from otherworldly perspectives. Beyond the classroom, she is an avid scuba diver and has recently worked as a Dive Master surveying local corals for a marine conservation project in the Philippines.
When she’s not exploring and protecting the ocean, she enjoys playing netball, extending her Duolingo streak and analysing the clandestine lyrics of Taylor Swift. Recently Jessica conquered her fear of heights by climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge at dawn, so she now feels ready to take on any challenge! Jessica is passionate about teaching real world topics with the goal of making all students accountable for the mark they leave on the world.
