My name is Grace Thomas and I will be joining the Brighton College (Singapore) team in August, which I am very excited about! I have previously been a part of the Brighton College family, working at the school in Abu Dhabi for 5 years. Before that, I worked at a Primary School in London and since leaving Abu Dhabi I have been working in a Special Educational Needs school in Bournemouth, which is on the south coast of the UK.

I studied Primary Education at University and specialised in Drama and Art – art is one of my loves and I not only enjoy viewing artwork, I have fun being creative (not that I am very good at it)! Throughout my teaching career, I have been lucky enough to work in various year groups and with children from all over the world. I enjoy creating a classroom that is engaging and encourages children to not only want to learn, but also build a love for learning.

Outside of the classroom, I love to walk and explore new places, especially if that place leads to food! I enjoy trying different foods and then attempting to cook them… some turn out better than others! I am moving to Singapore with my husband and little boy. We cannot wait to show our son the wonderful sights of Singapore, we know he will love seeing all of the new and exciting animals.
