Emma hails from Sussex in the UK where she carved out a successful career from the classroom through middle management and into senior leadership. With a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Reading, a PGCE in English from the University of Nottingham and an MA in Education from the University of Sussex, Emma continues to remain passionate about sharing the joys of literature, educational research and driving improvements in Teaching and Learning.

Having taught at three prestigious British international schools in the UAE (including Brighton College Al Ain), Vietnam and Singapore, Emma is delighted to continue her time with Brighton College (Singapore) and remain in Singapore. A keen advocate for professional development, Emma is in the final stages of the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and the Chartered College of Teaching Leadership Pathway. Emma is passionate about fostering a love of learning in pupils and an intellectual curiosity about the world around us.  A firm believer in the Brighton values, Emma is excited about carving out an ambitious academic curriculum in the Senior School. She is an enthusiastic sportswoman (attempting her first marathon this summer), avid reader and novice baker.
