Carl attended Middlesex University in London, completing a Bachelor of Arts in Primary Education, graduating in 2012. Since, he has taught in schools in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong and Panama working in various year groups across both Key Stages and working most recently as an Assistant Headteacher of Primary and Deputy Safeguarding Lead.
He wholeheartedly believes that when children are happy in their learning, they achieve great things. In his classroom, children are encouraged to take risks, to believe in themselves and to always try their very best. He provides engaging learning opportunities which challenge and promote enquiry. He believes that there is nothing better than hearing children sharing their ideas, questioning their own and others’ opinions and listening to and learning from each other.
Out of the classroom, Carl enjoys spending time outdoors; hiking, being at the beach and exploring new areas. Previously he climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and has completed the Angkor Wat half-marathon in Cambodia; something he enjoyed but is in no rush to do again!
