Alex received his PGCE from Oxford Brookes University. He began his teaching career in South London before moving on to international schools in Doha, Qatar, and most recently Penang, Malaysia. Before joining Brighton College (Singapore), Alex was part of the inaugural teaching team at POWIIS in Penang, leading Year 6.

Alex enjoys bringing real-life contexts to his classroom, allowing his pupils to understand the world around them. He has also helped set up community service events within the schools where he has taught, bringing together pupils, parents, and staff to help organisations within the local area.

Alex enjoys trying his hand at new activities. In the last few years, he has taken up golf and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He enjoys anything sporty and looks forward to getting involved in the many events offered in Singapore.
