Alba Torre Alonso

Alba is from the north of Spain and she is a qualified teacher specialising in Primary and Early Years Education by the University of Cantabria (Spain) and The UK with a QTS degree. Last July she achieved a Master’s in Applied Linguistics to teach Spanish as a Second Language at the University of Nebrija (Spain). She has taught in Nottingham (The UK) for two years and four years in Reception class at Alegra British and International School in Madrid. Here she developed her leadership skills being the Leader of Reception. After that period, in 2018 she moved to Singapore together with her husband and she has been teaching since then in a Nursery class called Dragonflies at Rain Trees International Kindergarten.

These experiences have allowed her to meet children of all different ages and she can say that teaching Early Years is her passion. She believes that every child is unique in their own way and she is passionate about the development of young children and creating stimulating and enriching experiences to enhance their learning.

When she is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends, being outdoors, painting, reading and travelling. Music is very important to her and in her spare time, she also plays bagpipes. Alba is very excited to join the Brighton College community.
