Leadership, confidence and kindness in action at Brighton College (Singapore)!
Our newly appointed House Captains took on their first leadership roles of the academic year, leading House meetings and bringing pupils together through a series of fun, interactive activities. It was wonderful to see our Year 11 and 12 pupils step forward with confidence, lighting the way for their House members and creating opportunities for them to connect, build friendships and strengthen their sense of belonging.
Just as special was seeing our Head Pupils and Deputy Head Pupils supporting the Lower Prep meetings. Through their kindness, encouragement and enthusiasm, our older pupils showed what it means to be positive role models.
Leadership is an important part of the education we offer at Brighton College (Singapore), giving pupils opportunities to take responsibility, support one another and make a positive contribution to school life.
A brilliant start to what promises to be an exciting year ahead for our four Houses: Ryle, Hampden, Chichester and Fenwick!
We were delighted to welcome Louis Alexander, our Pelican Pathway Ambassador, back to Brighton College (Singapore).
An adventurer, endurance athlete and multiple Guinness World Record holder, Louis took time out of his latest visit to Singapore to inspire our Upper Prep pupils, sharing how the values of our Pelican Pathway have helped him achieve extraordinary things.
We believe that education goes beyond academic achievement. Our Pelican Pathway brings this belief to life through seven important values: Perseverance, Enthusiasm, Leadership, Improvement, Creativity, Achievement and Knowledge. These values sit at the heart of our Prep School rewards system, recognising the qualities and behaviours that help our pupils grow.
Throughout the year, we focus on a different value every few weeks, culminating in half-termly celebration assemblies where tutors recognise pupils who have demonstrated that value particularly well.
By nurturing these values alongside academic excellence, we help our pupils develop the confidence to embrace challenges, the curiosity to keep learning and the resilience to pursue their ambitions.
A look back at our BCI visit earlier this month, when we welcomed Jo-Anne Riley and Therese Matthews from Brighton College International to Brighton College (Singapore).
It was lovely to share what’s been happening around the College and hear their thoughts on our teaching, pupils’ progress and the close links between academic and pastoral care.
With our first public examination results coming up this academic year, their recognition of the strong foundations we’re building was particularly encouraging. A big thank you to our staff for all their hard work in preparing our pupils for the next stage.

🎶 Looking back at our October Concert
Last Friday, we marked the end of the first half of term with an afternoon of music, bringing pupils, parents and staff together before the mid-term holiday break.
From the energy of Seven Nation Army and Wonderwall to the elegance of The Merry-Go-Round of Life and Never Enough, our pupils and staff showcased their musical talent across a varied programme of rock, classical and contemporary favourites. A collaborative performance of Stay With Me and Pompeii, featuring our staff band, pupil and parent choirs, brought the afternoon to a fitting close.
A wonderful way to celebrate the half-term milestone and recognise the creativity and dedication of our young musicians. We hope all our pupils are having a restful and enjoyable break.

Celebrating European Day of Languages! 🌍
Languages bring us together, and at Brighton College (Singapore), we love celebrating the many languages and cultures that make our College community so special!
As part of our European Day of Languages celebrations, we invited our pupils and teachers to introduce themselves in different languages, whether in their mother tongue or a language they have learnt. It was wonderful to see them embracing the challenge and speaking with such confidence and enthusiasm! 💬

✨ Step into the spotlight with Sixth Form at Brighton College (Singapore).
Our Sixth Form marks the final phase of our all-through British education, with a two-year A-level programme that challenges pupils to think independently, question ideas with rigour, and pursue the subjects they love in greater depth.
Beyond the classroom, our pupils have opportunities to develop as leaders, grow in confidence, and become the very best version of themselves.
We welcome families to join us on 12 November for the official opening of our new Sixth Form Centre.

We are proud that Brighton College (Singapore) has been named a finalist for the GESS Awards 2026 – Ambassador for the Environment.
For us, environmental responsibility is about more than understanding sustainability. It is about helping young people develop the curiosity to ask questions, the confidence to take action, and the kindness to recognise their responsibility to the world around them.
This year, our sustainability focus has been simple: reduce waste and make sustainable choices part of everyday school life.
Our pupils are turning sustainability into action by investigating waste across the school, using their findings to shape campaigns such as No Waste Wednesdays. Pupils have also created plantable paper, upcycled materials and run an Eco Stall supporting charity.
And learning goes beyond the classroom. Pupils have explored sustainable city design at Singapore’s URA City Gallery, written about environmental issues including illegal mining and fishing, and connected with polar explorer Robert Swan OBE during a live-streamed event from Antarctica.
This recognition is a wonderful reflection of the pupils and teachers who turn ideas into action, and of a school community that believes education should prepare young people not only to succeed in the future, but to contribute positively to it.
